Reagan attend the City High dance team's dance clinic a couple of Saturday's ago. She learned a couple of dance routines, ate pizza, and got to watch the big girls do there thing.....what more could a 7 year old want?

We took Reagan and Brett to a Cedar Rapids Rough Riders hockey game the other night. What a great time! Our seats were great and there was enough action to keep their interest. Scott's co workers Kyle and Lamont came along as did Brett's buddy Julius and his Mom, Anne. That night Addison and Brady had their first sitter....yippee!!! 
Lucky for us it was Star Wars night!!! LOL. We did Reagan's hair in side buns for the event. She is pictured above with some of the characters and Julius...Brett wasn't having it and watched from a far. Believe it or not one of the storm troopers purposed to his girlfriend out on the ice....how sweet.....maybe......?!?

Reagan's best gal Greta had a tea party birthday party. She was to bring a doll with as well so she took her dolly Emily since she has a dress appropriate for a tea. We had fun getting them both ready to go to the tea! When Reagan got home she showed me the treasures she got from the festivities.....gloves, a tea cup and saucer, a hankerchief and a hat. Emily got a boa and we sat her with one of Reagan's doll size tea cups. All in all, a fun day for Rea!! Happy 7th Birthday Greta!

Ok, so I'm going to reveal my inner dorkiness here....one of my favorite types of shows to watch are ones that show how things are made. The other day I was going to throw away a non functioning music box from a crib mobile and decided to dissect it for the kids to see how it works. They thought it was neat to see the combs *ping* and create a song they recognized as they turned the knob. So we had a bit of a science lesson that day!!!

I was feeling creative the other day so I created a fun "under the sea" lunch for Brett to enjoy. We put spaghetti noodles through some hot dogs and made squid! He also enjoyed, fish eggs (grapes), fish (orange slices) with blueberries for air bubbles and a sea plant (ketchup). He thought it was great!
We're getting big and brave and are spending more time on our feet these days than on our knees!

We celebrated Valentine's Day and the Chinese New Year with layered heart jello and an Asian inspired dinner of Pancit. Pancit is actually Filipino, but who cares.....eating with chopsticks was a hit with the kids.
No chopsticks needed with these too Pancit faced kiddos, just open, grab and stuff is their motto!!
