Funny Brett

This Brett Man of ours is quite the character!!! He's pretty darn funny...here's the latest.
'Mom, can I gave a Reese's Penis?" He was really asking for a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.

While driving Brett to school the other day I got angry at another driver and called them a "Jack Wad." Brett's reply to my comment, "Mom, how do you know his name?" Oops....I couldn't stop laughing. I'm thinking he is probably also thinking that there are A LOT of people named Jack....as I say that a lot!!

A few weeks ago Scott was out of town and the kids and I were driving home from somewhere and the kids were trying to play the quiet game. It lasted about 3 seconds then Brett says, "Geez, I can't keep my mouth shut for very long!" My answer, "No, really? Ya think?" Funny stuff from my four year old charmer.

Grandma Vicki visits

Grandma meet Pearl the pig!!
Reagan and Brett with Pearl. Pearl wondering if they are going to feed her a treat or just sit there!

Grandma Vicki blowing kisses to one of the llamas! Hilarious.

Feeding Rex the horse some hay.

Grandma Vicki came for a one night visit while Daddy was gone these last 2 1/2 weeks. The kids were happy to see someone besides Mom, I think. Brett didn't stop talking for even a second while she was here....geesh!

Valentines

Reagan decided to make rockets for her Valentines. Her class is 2/3 boys so we decided to avoid the cute stuff!! She said the rockets were a hit with the boys!!

Brett and I made tractors for his Valentines this year. He goes to Preschool on a farm, so how could I not!!! He wanted them to be John Deere tractors like Uncle Marks....so here they are!!

Blankets

Reagan and Brett are cutting a blanket to tie for cousin Makenzi's Blanket Day project for Project Linus. We were able to contribute five blankets to send. Thanks to Grandma Vicki for delivering them for us.

Bradyism

Ya look away for one second and this is what you get when you turn back around....a Brady on the dishwasher! Perhaps he was fixing it since he's got the screwdriver!!! Silly boy.

Coralville Winterfest 2010

A few weeks ago Scott was out of town and Reagan was at a friend's birthday party so Brett and the babies and I went to Coralville's Winterfest to kill time before we went to get Reagan again. They were giving carriage rides but it was just Me, Brett and the babies so I wasn't about to undo the stroller and all of that just for a tool around the courtyard. Brett was happy to just watch. It was freezing cold so we didn't stay outside long!
We didn't go in the tee pee but Brett thought is was neat to see. They made one at Preschool last year so Brett was an expert on those already, so he says!!!

You can see how cold it was by the look on Brett's face!!! Ha! These crazy men behind him were doing ice sculptures. They turned out awesome!

A statue of a Mormon family from the pioneer days.....Brett decided they should have just taken a car....ya gotta love it.

Here's Brett Man making a snowflake catcher. We put it in the freezer when we got home so it was ready for the next round of snow!

This was fun! We had a snowball fight with rolled up socks! That kid has a good arm!!

Here's Brett a few days later catching snowflakes on his snowflake catcher and looking at them with the magnifying glass.

Lucas Elementary Mini Dance Marathon

Here's Reagan with friends Greta and Amber at the Mini Dance Marathon. Students from the University of Iowa came and did a fundraiser with the kids. They played games, won prizes, and of course, DANCED!! They were supposed to dance as long as they could to raise money for the University of Iowa Children's Hospital and kids with cancer. The U of I students do a bigger Dance Marathon where they dance for 24 hours straight to raise money. This year they made $1,058,568.16 at their marathon with the help of mini marathons like the one at Lucas!

Des Moines Science Center

Both Reagan and Brett wanted a picture with them touching the snake at the Science Center so they could show Daddy! They know that snakes are not his favorite thing and use it against him whenever possible.

The pulley system! Reagan figuring out which tire is easier to lift the one with one pulley or the one with two!

Bubbles. Some genuine smiles from Jana and Reagan in the back ground.

Grandma Debbie showing the babies a ball maze. Brady just kept saying "ball!, ball!, ball!"

Addison and Brady were holding hands...SUPER cute! Awwwwwwh!

Tyler, Brett, Jana, and Reagan in the critter room!

Reagan the weather forecaster. Here's Reagan testing out the green wall and then on TV...she thought that was pretty cool!

Jana and Brett getting ready to launch their rockets!
Amanda helping the boy's construct a rocket.

Reagan's watching and waiting for her wrapped egg to drop to see if she protected it enough with all of the padding.....she did better than most that attempted!

Dad and Brady watching the kids play.

Brett mastering the ball wall.
Grandma and Addison have a try too.
A happy Brady...he got a ball.....and A LOT of sanitizer after holding the ball!!!

Grandpa is attempting to convince Brady to give up his ball and put it in the basket....that didn't go over so well!!!

The kiddos setting up some dominoes.

Electricity ball! It reminded Brett of Mr. Electric in his favorite movie...Shark Boy and Lava Girl!!!
Reagan star gazing.....she dreams of seeing a real life falling star....we've got plans to lay out under the stars again this summer so she can spot one since last year was unsuccessful.

The rover....Brett thought is was a cool toy....no clue of its importance.....someday!

Addison and Brady get a take with the ball.

Playing blocks with Grandma.

This is how the girl is usually sitting.....cracks me up!

Brady playing.

Watching the pendulum move and knock over the tiles......this thing teaches a kid patience...

HA, HA, HA........Brett watching time pass with his nose smashed to the glass. Hilarious!

Me with the kiddos.
Daddy was in St. Louis so we adventured to Des Moines and met Grandma and Grandpa and Amanda, Jana and Tyler at the Science Center. I've never taken them there so it was a playground for the kids. They had a great time playing and learning and not realizing it, which I love!! A great day....and when we got home Daddy was there!!! Yippy!

Downtown Des Moines

After the Science Center we walked a few blocks to eat.....as we walked I snapped some pictures of downtown Des Moines. I'm a sucker for old architecture. Amazing. Couldn't resist a picture of the capitol dome....growing up we every time we'd travel to Des Moines Mom would say, "There's the Capitol!" as if we'd never seen it....and we had dozens of times! Yet, as I drove my own kiddo's into the State Capitol what did I say, "Look guys, there's the capitol!" HA!!! I couldn't help myself!!
