Stick it in your_________(Updated)

(This isn't Brady, but I thought a visual would be good)

Oh, Brady.......

Tuesday night: Brady puts Alfredo sauce in his ear, this I can handle.
Wednesday lunch: Brady tells me he has a buga (booger) but I don't see anything so we carry on with lunch then nap. After nap as I'm sitting at the computer he comes up to me and stares as a kernel of corn from his veggie soup slides out his nose. Interesting. The little stinker slept with corn up his nose.
Thursday breakfast: For the first time I let the little two have milk in their Cheerios, exciting stuff, I know. They were THRILLED! I leave the room for one second and come back to Brady with a finger up his nose and him making a strange face. Addison sees me, points at Brady and says, "NO! NO!" She's a good taddler! I look and sure enough he put a Cheerio up his nose....WAY up his nose. Ugh! Being the super wonderful and amazing Mom that I am I only think to get a Q tip and some pepper. I wet the Q tip, put it in the pepper then tickled the inside of his non Cheerio stuffed nostril with the Q tip. This triggers a sneeze and out comes a mushy, snotty Cheerio....all over my shirt, but whatever, no trip to the ER or pinning down of the 2 year old and scaring him with tweezers!
Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings......
UPDATE: "Tomorrow" brought a baby Goldfish cracker up his nose! And the pepper on a Q tip trick didn't work! I had an array of spices out for him to smell, took him in the direct sunlight, and even had the big kids fake sneeze hoping he'd catch the urge to sneeze too. He just laughed and said, "Ah! Neeze!" and pointed at whomever sneezed! Grrrrrrr. I was getting irritated because I was needing to leave for a lock in for Regan's Girl Scouts with in the next couple of hours and REALLY didn't have the time for a trip to the ER. We then tried tickling his nose with a tissue...nope. Next, a feather. I had Reagan get a feather from her boa and we tickled his nose with that and out shot the Goldfish cracker. Reagan and Brett nearly peed their pants watching that happen. That brings us to Sunday.....
Sitting in the Family Life Center eating donuts I realize he's got another partial Cheerio up there. I tried to tickle his nose but it wasn't working. Scott joined us after parking the truck and I told him. He was thrilled. Then, as Scott's inspecting Brady for himself he discovers a Cheerio in his ear! Interesting how you can be irritated and entertained all at once. I took Brady outside in the sunlight to work on the Cheerio up the nose thing and he sneezed most of it out. Much to my dismay once we got to his nursery room I noticed none else than Goldfish for snack. Miss Desi our favorite nursery worker promised to be extra vigilant. She reported that the fish were safe but the paper was not. Luckily she caught him before the paper got to far. Seriously, I could go batty with this new discovery. None of my others ever put stuff in their nose like Brady does. I guess he's "special". Stinker.

Girl Scout Cookie Sales

We had our first cookie booth two weekends ago. Our troop had two tables set up at Wal Mart and did an awesome job. We sold 310 boxes of cookies. Each of the four girl's there divided the sales and ended up with 77 boxes each. Here are Reagan and Lindsay selling away.

Paintings

Reagan's painting.

Brett's painting.
The big kiddos were feeling creative one afternoon and made some colorful paintings for us.

Valentine's

My valentine from Brett. So sweet. He was excited to give me the sunflower seeds since he knew I wanted to plant them by our red shed out back! We are ready for Spring!

Brett also made this candle votive holder.

We normally hand make our Valentine's. I got an awesome deal on these suckers ($1 a bag) so they were our candy of choice this year! We turned Brett's suckers into balloons!

Reagan turned her suckers into flowers.

Addison and Brady used some old leftover Valentine's from year's past for their caregivers at church; Miss Aimee, Ms. Shelia, Ms. Linda, and Miss Desi.

Reagan's teacher is a true southern gal. She calls her students her Little Love Muffins.....so we just HAD to make her heart shaped mini muffins for Valentine's Day. Mrs. Selover loved her love muffins!

Addison kissing her Valentine she got from Aunt Connie and Uncle Jim.

Reagan and Brett ate their suckers from G&G Schmitz while learning to play Yahtzee with Daddy.

Addison made a mess with her sucker but had a great time doing so.

Naturally, Brady broke his right away then "uh oh'd" the whole time he ate it. Baths were had after the suckers, which seems to be a normal revolution.

This is the face you get when..........

you catch the girl in the box of chocolates. Quite the little taste tester we have! Stinker.

Snow day!

School gets canceled here when snow is anticipated. Good grief. Oh well, I'll take a day of not running kids back and forth to this and that. Our neighbor across the street works and is single so we had Ms. Calley for the morning. She's a 4th grader and is a good kid. She is very good with the babies and patient with Brett.

Reagan and Calley enjoying some Yakisoba for lunch. Calley's first try with chop sticks!

Some of the latest funny moments here.....

I normally put these funnies on Facebook but decided since this blog will someday become a book I should add them or else I'll forget them. Most of these are from Brett.....no surprise. Some are funny some make my head spin but it's us! I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Valenswine
FB POST: Trying to not be offended that Brett told me I was his Valenswine! LOL He informs me it was from a book. I'll take his word for it. Happy Valentine's Day! Yesterday I came home to a super clean kitchen and living room and a steam cleaned rug, not so sure any gift today could top that! Thanks Babe! I ♥ you Scott Schmitz!

Nothing like waking on Valentine's Day to be called a Valenswine by your 5 year old! Especially on a week where you nearly choked with laughter when you noticed your military ID said you weighed 145lbs...HA! Not so sure I've weighed that since high school. I did, however, break the office chair this week too....hmmmmm. Th at said, I Googled the book and it is very cute and I'm happy to be his Valenswine! From the book, "'Oh, Mother!' piglet Polly said. 'Please say that you'll be mine. Right now I see you are, for me, the perfect valenswine!'"

Bugles

FB POST: I enjoyed watching the little two discover the fun of Bugles while we waited for Brett at school today. I vividly remember trying to get one to fit on each finger and pretend away! They were impressed that their fingers fit.

Brett Barf?
FB POST: Brett: "Mom, is there a football player called, Brett Barf?" LOL My answer: "It depends on who you ask! But, I'm pretty sure his last name is Favre" Funny. Funny. Funny. Must have been an interesting conversation at preschool.

The garbage truck. This was sweet.....
FB POST: Thank you to the garbage truck driver who made Brady's day b y waving to us as we watched him collect trash this morning. He was so excited! Cute.

The Last Air Bender
FB POST: Rea and I are headed to dance class as Scott and Brett gear up for a movie night...thanks for the new movie Mark Schmitz! Brett figures you must have talked to Santa and figured out he didn't get that movie yet, LOL!
Channeling, The Don!
FB Post: On the way home from preschool Brett tells me, "Mom, you're fired!" This is what happens when the Mom says no to McDonald's (again)! LOL
Surprise shots. This one wasn't so funny......more like irritating! Ugh! FB Post: Had a well kiddo check for Reagan today and decided to do flu shots for her and Brett. Brett also needed a chicken pox booster. No biggie, right? WRONG! Talk about two hysterically insane children. Pretty sure I rate a glass of wine after that...good grief!

Addison has to potty!
FB Post: Brett's calls out, "Mom, I think Addison has to go potty, she's holding her penis ...or whatever girl's call it!" LOL

Never a dull moment here! A huge thank you to my kiddos for all the material! LOL

Now THAT is a cookie!

1 huge cookie for 99 cents at the commissary = a snack for four! You should have seen Brett's face when I whipped out this cookie! Priceless!

Cereal anyone?

Brady so nicely 'helped' Addison get more cereal....what a nice guy! Geesh. Note that she is only eating the marshmallows from the Lucky Charms!

Great Aunt Mary Jean strikes again!

Mary Jean sent a mystery puzzle message that was fun for the kiddos to "decode"!

So fun!
She sent pillowcases as well! Brett wore his Thomas the Train PJ's so he'd "match" his pillowcase. When he asked who sent it all I did was start to sing, "Brett and Landon like scrabbled eggs, Brett and Landon like scrambled eggs!" and he knew who I meant.....that's the song MJ sang to them as they made breakfast at her house during our family fun weekend at the Murch farm two years ago!

Reagan is was excited to get to lay on hearts for Valentine's Day, which is near.

Pillowcases are one of Addison and Brady's favorite things. Every night they tell us what is on their pillowcase and if it's an animal they make the noise. They have LOTS to say with these cases!! Thank you Mary Jean and Maynard for the gifts!

Brady vs. the mascara

Ok, so I'm sure many of you are thinking, Kelly, shut the doors.....he opens doors......and he's stealth quiet. This is what he got into when I was making lunch the other day. I need to just make him my counter helper so I can see him at ALL TIMES.....this boy is a handful! God made him cute for a reason!!

Yet another nice day!

I am learning to "handle" mid 50 degree weather in February!! Yippee! We had a wonderful time outside last Sunday afternoon. Brady tooled around the yard in the Gator and only hit the fence once!

We shot Nerf darts and the babies 'fetched" them!

Brady was a little tea pot!

We played some basketball and did keep away with the big kids. Brady likes to dibble, dibble, dibble and even makes a dribbling motion with his hand and harm without a ball. They've been watching at the games!

The, "I need a tissue" face.

The, "I snuck another Oreo with Brett" face!

I love this picture. Reagan and Brady on a joy ride.

Safety first! That's my boy! He loves to buckle things so the helmet was right up his alley.

Addison and her cocaine addiction.....aka, puppy cow, with LOTS of powdered sugar to go around. At least she cleaned up her "mess" as she called it.

Suckers = sticky mess!

Last Saturday was the first time we didn't have back to back basketball games, which meant there was a whole lot more entertaining necessary for the little two. We had Brett's game at 9am, Girl Scouts at 10 am, then back for Reagan's game at 12 noon. The babes were DONE by the middle of Reagan's game.....the snacks were no longer enticing, and getting out of the stroller wasn't an option so what else to keep them entertained but suckers!
"Mmmmmm!" they both said with giggly smiles. Brady had sucker from his hair to his toes and everywhere in between. They had a bath when we got home from the game!

Coaching....not an easy task!

Scott and Rob coaching away.

Cheeez!

We had a MACS-2, Det D Family Day at Scott's work. The kids had a great time jumping around on the bounce house. I only managed to get one picture of the event, but it's a cute one!
