| Let vacation begin (Ok, it was in Oct.! Mom and Dad started in Iowa and we left early in the morning and we made it to there within 20 minutes of each other. We unpacked and got settled and relaxed. Then.......on our first full day in Western NC we went to ride a train on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad in Bryson City, NC. It was a good thing I called to check because this was the last dy for The Great Pumpkin ride. |
The kiddos enjoying some hot chocolate while we wait for our ride to start.
Over cast day but the kids thought it was fun to see the clouds mixed in with the mountains.
We went to check out the engine.

| Climber Girl! |
They were sitting still.....so I captured the moment. :)
Chillin' with Grandma and Grandpa. Three year old heaven!
| All aboard! Brady being big handing his ticket. |
| Addy too. |
| Everyone is on but the mom.....gotta grab a picture quick. |
| Choo choo! Beautiful sights along the river and country side. It started to rain as we road out to The Great Pumpkin. |
| We made it to the fun! Cold and wet, but we made the most of it. |
| S'MORES! |
| An indoor trick or treat set up, which was really cool! |
| A ride in a wagon from the Scarecrow! |
| Hello Snoopy! |
Games and snacks. No bouncy houses though due to the rain.
Pick your pumpkin, it's part of the deal! Brett found his.
Brady found a big one!
| A wet Addy did too. :) |
We ate there too then rode the train back. We then went to the train museum to see the models in action. They were interactive so the kids could push the buttons to make the different features go. A fun, soggy, wet, adventure!
