Tannenbaum Forest, Amana, IA

Reagan and Brady in Santa's sleigh.
Reagan and Brett next to the beautiful hand carved nativity.

Attempt at a group photo!!!

I had each of them stand by their favorite tree. This animal one was Brett's favorite.
Reagan chose this one since it was so colorful.
Tannenbaum forest is a winter wonderland filled with decorated live trees that is set up in a barn in the Amana Colonies. The display is a fundraiser for the Make a Wish Foundation. Free will donations are accepted and the money goes to a Make a Wish child to help make their dream come true. This year's child's name was Peyton. Peyton's dream is to go to Disney World in Florida. Having just been to Disney World we thought is was very special that our donation was helping Peyton have an amazing trip just like we did! I had read that there were live reindeer there, but it seems they weren't there that day...oops...lost MAJOR cool points on that mix up but smiles were found anyways!!!
After the tour we warmed up at the Chocolate Haus. Reagan and Brett each chose a piece of chocolate and had some hot cocoa too. Here is Reagan with the chocolate covered cherry she chose. She found is was hard to eat with out all of her front teeth!

Brett chose peanut butter on a stick dipped in chocolate! Yum!

Scott and Addison relaxing and enjoying an egg nog latte, if I remember correctly!

Here's Reagan watching the worker's make some chocolate covered cherries. We had a great afternoon in the Amana Colonies!
